Roxanne Farias

 

Roxanne is a mother of two, a mental health therapist, wife, and advocate for children.  Roxanne was born and raised in the Central Valley, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from Fresno Pacific University and her Master’s Degree in Counseling from California State University, Fresno.  .  Roxanne serves as a Mentor for the Renaissance Scholar Program at California State University, Fresno. Being a Mentor to a college student who was in foster care and has faced challenges throughout their journey. She has been invited to speak at various community events about healing, trauma, and challenges children in our community have encountered by severe trauma.  Roxanne has shared her passion with college students in the classroom as well as elementary and middle age children in the Central Valley. Roxanne currently works at Thomas Elementary school and at Family Healing Center; working alongside with children, adolescents, young adults, and families.  Roxanne has worked with adults, children, and adolescents in a variety of settings.  Every person comes in with their own individual needs.  The goal for them is to gain empowerment while they are on their journey toward healing and wholeness.
